Sunshine Vinyl is a queer-owned vinyl record store
in Austin, Texas. Started by Luca Kisielius. Luca
opened their doors to the LGBTQ+ community
and all allies in June, 2024. Luca says “Our goal is
to provide a safe space for all minorities and anyone
looking for that third space away from home and
work to find some peace. We primarily focus on
contemporary music with a strong focus on lifting
up and promoting music by people of colour and
the queer community.”
Sunshine Vinyl sells local art, vinyl records,
cassette’s, CD’s and affordable hi-fi equipment as
well as collectible, custom turntables and rare vinyl
pressings.
Sunshine Vinyl regularly host events ranging from
live music, drag shows, poetry slams/spoken word,
fundraisers to DJ sets and listening parties. This is a
great place to purchase a gift for a friend that is into
art and music.
